Privacy

Short version: your details come to me so I can ring you back, and go nowhere else.

What I collect

If you fill in the callback form, I collect your name, phone number, postcode and whatever you tell me about the problem. That's it. There's no account to create and nothing else is asked for.

What I do with it

I use it to ring you back and to work out whether I cover your area. I don't add you to a mailing list, I don't sell or share your details, and I don't pass them to any other trade.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into work get deleted once they're clearly not going anywhere. Records of jobs I've actually done are kept for six years, which is what I need for tax and for any warranty question that comes up later.

Analytics

This site uses privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It doesn't use tracking cookies and it doesn't identify you individually, which is also why there's no cookie banner nagging you.

Your rights

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email mark@thetelephoneengineer.co.uk or ring 07942 815 831 and I'll sort it. If you're not happy with how I've handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
